One of the (many) things we love about STEP is how vividly it reminds us of some of the universal things about your last year of high school—that strange feeling of being both desperate to stay a child and become a grown up like, NOW.

Of course, the story of Blessin Giraldo, Tayla Solomon and Cori Grainger has aspects that are particular to the time (last year) and place (a girl’s school in Baltimore, Maryland) when they graduated. This moving, emotional, uplifting doc chronicles these young women’s efforts to become the first in the families to attend college…and be the first to take their school’s step dance all the way to the championship.

We could say more, but honestly, just get to a theatre now and experience it for yourself. After watching our interview with them below first, of course.
