This Canadian film festival is tailor-made for fashion lovers
A still from George Town Optician “The Eyeball”, one of the films nominated at this year’s festival.
Here’s a cool thing to do in Calgary in a couple weeks: The Canadian International Fashion Film Festival is on from May May 26-28.
ELLE Canada is proud to be a media sponsor for this home-grown talent showcase, co-founded by Katrina Olson-Mottahed, Zai Mamdani and Rania Al-Naimi.
Our very own EIC Vanessa Craft is actually one of this year’s judges, and will be picking the winners out of the 309 fashion film submissions from 34 countries. There are actually 13 categories fashion filmmakers can have their work recognized under, including best score, best model/actor, best hair / makeup and of course, best styling in a fashion film. Check out the full list of nominees here.
And while the submission deadline for this year has passed, tickets for this reel-y chic event are still available here.
