Today, in news that takes our breath away (if you don’t get that reference, go watch Top Gun and then come back and read this article), Tom Cruise announced there is going to be a sequel to the 1986 action film. 

Appearing on the Sunrise breakfast show in Australia, Cruise said the movie will be filmed within the next year (!!!) “You’re the first people I’ve told,” he told the hosts. (No word yet on whether co-stars Kelly McGillis, Val Kilmer or Meg Ryan will return.)
