Hands up if you found Netflix’s 5 star rating system just a tiny bit stressful? Did you spend longer wavering between a 3 or 4 star rating than you spent bingeing that entire series? (Just us. Okay). Or maybe you didn’t even bother with the stars and wondered if that’s why maybe some of the recommended shows were just weird? 

Well, the streaming behemoth has heard your cries, and the 5 star rating system is no more. Instead, Netflix is rolling out a ‘thumbs up, thumbs down’ which is as simple as it sounds: One means you want more of shows like that, the other means ‘that’s a hard no’.
