Katherine Heigl is Going to be on Season 8 of Suits
Izzie Stevens is moving to Toronto...temporarily.
Katherine Heigl is joining Suits Season 8 in a key role, USA Network announced today.
The news comes after the Toronto-filmed show confirmed that series stars Patrick J. Adams and soon-to-be-royal Meghan Markle would be leaving the show at the end of its seventh season.
The Emmy-winning actor will be taking on the role of Samantha Wheeler, a fierce new lawyer at Pearson Specter Litt who may be a friend or a foe to the firm.
“Joining Suits was the perfect organic way to not only collaborate with an EP I admire deeply, but to also become part of a show and cast that I am an immense fan of,” Heigl said in a press release. “I have watched Suits from the very beginning and feely incredibly lucky to be the newest member of the Pearson Specter Litt family.”
Suits‘ eighth season begins filming in Toronto in April.
