Will and Kate enjoyed date night at yesterday’s British Academy Film Awards—and, surprise, they met a queen while in attendance.

Well…sort of. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met best actress winner Olivia Colman. Not only does she play Queen Anne in her film The Favourite, she’s also stepped into the leading role on Netflix’s The Crown, portraying Queen Elizabeth II—a.k.a. William’s grandmother.

It’s actually the third year in a row the royal couple has walked the BAFTAs red carpet together, according to PeopleFor this year’s ceremony, Kate wore a white asymmetrical Alexander McQueen gown, which also had floral embellishments on the shoulder. She also donned a pair of Princess Diana’s pearl and silver earrings.

As for the actual ceremony, foreign-language film Roma and the aforementioned historical comedy-drama The Favourite came out on top. The Favourite won seven awards, including Colman’s lead actress win and supporting actress for Rachel Weisz. Netflix’s intimate, black-and-white Roma took home best film and best director for Alfonso Cuarón. Other wins included Bohemian Rhapsody star Rami Malek for best actor, Green Book‘s Mahershala Ali for best supporting actor, Black Panther‘s Letitia Wright won the publicly-voted EE Rising Star Award and Bradley Cooper was on hand to accept the best original music statuette for A Star Is Born
