Happy hour: The mojito
Story and pics by Alannah O’Neill. Here at ELLE Canada we’re up to our eyeballs in September issue deadlines—but that’s not stopping us from soaking up every last exquisite morsel left in the summer. Case in point: we dedicated this Friday afternoon to perfecting the our recipe for the classic Mojito, so that after we’ve filed our copy on the biggest fall trends and the most exciting designer collabs, we’re can park it on a patio with a pitcher of Cuba’s national drink. Cheers!
You will need: One bottle of Havana Club Rum Fresh mint leaves Fresh limes sugar Perrier water

1) In a glass, add two tablespoons of sugar and the juice from half a lime. 2) Add a sprig of fresh mint and muddle. 3) Throw in two ounces of Havana club rum 4) Add ice and top with Perrier.
