Puttin’ on the Fritz (Afshin Feiz)
You’ll have no regrets when you sip this delicious martini, packed with antioxidants. Watermelon juice is loaded with lycopene. And vodka — well, vodka doesn’t have any health benefits, but you’ve got a whole year ahead of you to worry about that.
•1 1/2 oz. vodka
•1/2 oz. Chambord
•2 oz. fresh watermelon juice
Combine ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice and shake until well chilled. Strain into a frozen martini glass and garnish with a
slice of fresh watermelon.
Mojito Rising (Arthur Mendonça)
The caipirinha is Brazil’s answer to the mojito. Instead of rum, the native cane sugar spirit, cachaça, is used. You can always substitute equal parts of silver tequila and light rum.
•1 lime, halved, then cut into quarters
•2 tsp. superfine sugar
•2 1/2 oz. cachaça
Squeeze lime quarters into an old-fashioned glass, then toss in with sugar and muddle together to release the lime oils and dissolve the sugar.
Fill with ice, top with cachaça and garnish with a sprig of mint.

Get ready to pucker up with this sweet ‘n’ sour libation. Inspired by the Paloma, this drink is a little more girlie, with a candied rim and a sugary grapefruit slice.
•2 oz. tequila
•6 oz. pink grapefruit juice
•lime juice
•soda
Rim a tall glass with sugar and broken candy, then fill with ice. Pour in tequila, grapefruit juice, a squeeze of lime juice and a splash of soda. Garnish with grapefruit candy slice.
Fred and Ginger (David Dixon)
A twist on Canada’s famous Bloody Caesar, this gin-based drink is exactly what you need to spice up any soiree.
•2 slices fresh ginger
•2 oz. gin
•6 oz. Clamato juice
Rim a tall glass with a mixture of salt, pepper, ground cardamom, paprika, crushed cumin seeds and crushed mustard seeds. Fill glass with ice, toss in ginger and fill with gin
and Clamato. Garnish with a lemon wheel and a spear of blanched asparagus.
Blond Bombshell (Marie Saint Pierre)
Champagne is de rigueur, and with a touch of exotic fruit, it becomes the perfect elixir to welcome adventure — just what every fashionista needs.
•1/2 oz. fresh passion fruit juice
•6 oz. champagne
Pour passion fruit juice into a flute and top with champagne. Garnish with skewer of fresh cranberries.
