She’s long been famed for her love of a (recycled) high street buy, and now Kate Middleton is mixing her love of a bargain with doing a little good.

The DoC stopped by a local charity shop near her home in Norfolk this Friday to do a little browsing (and officially open the new location for EACH, a charity that works with kids who have life threatening illnesses).

The seasoned shopper picked up a few things for her brood—a Fireman Sam book for George and a figurine for Charlotte—and contemplated a wool fedora before (wisely) deciding it didn’t go with her Missoni coat. Apparently George had also asked for a helicopter, but alas, the EACH charity store didn’t have any.

Kate also offered a bargain hunting pro-tip: Charity shops are the best place for buying cookbooks.
