Our October cover star, Ashley Graham has been “immortalized in plastic” – and it’s fantastic. Mattel, which launched a line of tall, petite and curvy dolls earlier this year, celebrated the model by creating a Barbie doll in her likeness.

Come on @Barbie, let’s go party!!! ?Thank you to my new and incredible @Mattel family for this honor! #beautybeyondsize #barbie #curvybarbie

It’s a step in the right direction, according to body-positivity advocate Graham.

“We need to work together to redefine the global image of beauty and continue to push for a more inclusive world,” she said in a statement about the collabo, one of many celebrity doll collectibles the brand has created in recent years.

(Other stars who have their own Barbies include Misty Copeland, Ava Duvernay, Zendaya and more.) “I’m thrilled Barbie has not only evolved their product, but also has continued to honour women who are pushing boundaries. It’s an honour to be immortalized in plastic.”
