And there it is! Meghan Markle has done her official royal  photocall duty in the hours post announcement of her engagement…and of course, flashed the engagement ring we’ve all been waiting months to see.

Harry and Meghan did an adorably happy nervous looking turn in front of the world’s media at Kensington Palace Monday afternoon. After both saying they were “so excited”, Meghan was asked to give us a better look at the giant accessory on her hand, and did so, albeit briefly.

Word on the ring is that Harry custom created it using two diamonds that belonged to his late mother, Princess Diana. The center stone is from Botswana, a country very dear to Harry’s heart and where his charity, Sentebale, is based. It was designed by royal jeweler Cleave.

FYI: That may look like a Sentaler coat Meghan’s wearing but it is in fact by another Canadian designer Line. Her Birks earrings are also home-grown in the Great North. This all seems very promising for a Canadian designer getting the call to design the gown, no?
