Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip
Where: Broadlands, Hampshire and Birkhall, Scotland
Following their 1947 wedding, the 21-year old Queen and 26-year old Duke of Edinburgh set off to Broadland House in Hampshire, which was owned by Prince Philip’s uncle. And they weren’t alone–the Queen’s favourite corgi, Susan, tagged along. After their stay in the English countryside, the newlyweds travelled to Birkhall lodge on the family’s Balmoral Castle estate in northern Scotland.
