Add this one to the long list of tear-jerker-bye-Obamas-please-don’t-go moments we’ve had this week (seriously: We’ve teared up almost as much as Joe Biden in these last few days of Barack’s administration): Jenna and Lauren Bush just wrote Sasha and Malia the nicest letter. 

The twins—who spent their young adulthood with their dad George Bush in the White House—posted an open letter to the Obama girls on Time, sharing a little advice on how to navigate life post-presidency.

“Now you are about to join another rarified club, one of former First Children—a position you didn’t seek and one with no guidelines,” Lauren and Jenna write. “But you have so much to look forward to. You will be writing the story of your lives, beyond the shadow of your famous parents, yet you will always carry with you the experiences of the past eight years.”
