Taylor Swift’s response to Kanye’s misogyny is PERFECT
While her brother Austin was busy very publicly trashing his Yeezy’s on Instagram, Taylor Swift was crafting the BEST response to those now infamous Kanye West lyrics.
As you’ll know, West’s new album, Life of Pablo, was premiered during his Yeezy fashion show last night, and one line in particular on the track “Famous” caught everyone’s attention–and indignation: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / Why? I made that bitch famous.”
Now, Taylor has responded through her reps, who told Entertainment Weekly:
“Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous.’”
AND MIC DROP.
