Selena Gomez has shared her plans to start a family, and it’s just as sweet as we’d expected.

The singer, actress, and beauty entrepreneur got candid about her intentions for the future in a new interview with Time  revealing that, until recently, she had considered having children – whether she was in a relationship or not.

“I was alone for five years, and I got really used to it. A lot of people are afraid of being alone and I probably tortured myself in my head for like two years being alone, and then I kind of accepted it,” she said.

“I was going to adopt at 35 if I had not met anyone.”

Of course, it seems these plans have likely since changed, with Gomez, now 31, recently going public with boyfriend Benny Blanco, 36.

“I just cherish every moment with him. I don’t know what the future holds, but I do know that he’s not going anywhere any time soon,” she shared in the interview.

For his part, Blanco, a music producer, has been even more vocal about his plans to start a family with Gomez.

Per Page Six, earlier in May, Blanco told Howard Stern that he had already told Gomez that he wants to have kids with her.

“It’s always a topic of conversation to me every day,” he said. “That’s my next goal, to check the box. I have a ton of god-kids; I’ve got a ton of nephews. I love being around kids.”

And absolutely melting our hearts, Blanco added, “I just know that when I look at her, I just say, ‘I don’t know a world where it could be better than this.’ That’s what I always say to her.”

Talk of kids comes shortly after Gomez’s most famous ex, Justin Bieber, announced he was expecting his first child with wife Hailey Bieber. And while some corners of the internet have tried to dredge up drama between this infamous trio – particularly in the wake of this news – we’re just glad they all seem content in their new relationships.
