In the midst of all the drama surrounding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their roles as “senior members” of the royal family, Harry has reunited with Prince William to issue a joint statement about their relationship.

The brothers joined forces to deny rumours that Meghan and Harry felt that they were being pushed out of the royal family because of Will’s “bullying attitude.”

“Despite clear denials, a false story ran in a UK newspaper today speculating about the relationship between The Duke of Sussex and The Duke of Cambridge,” the statement reads. “For brothers who care so deeply about the issues surrounding mental health, the use of inflammatory language in this way is offensive and potentially harmful.”

The Times ran their story, in which the rumours first appeared, based on a single source’s claims, despite other sources denying the claims.

Will and Harry’s rare joint statement came just before the brothers were scheduled to meet with Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth in Sandringham to discuss the Sussexes plan to become “financially independent.” Meghan is reportedly in Canada with baby Archie, but is expected to call into the meeting.
