In the clearest sign that Meghan and Harry’s office split from Kensington Palace has begun, the two officially have their own Instagram now. The @SussexRoyal account was just launched this afternoon, with their original Kensington Palace account sharing the news. “Welcome to Instagram, @SussexRoyal!” the Kensington Palace account announced. “Follow @SussexRoyal for more on the work of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Follow @KensingtonRoyal for more on the work of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.”

The move comes just two weeks after the Palace announced Meghan and Harry were getting their own royal household (essentially, their own office where their staff is based in British monarchy terms) separate from Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The Palace announced then that the Queen approved Harry and Meghan getting their own household “following their marriage in May last year,” so this transition had been in the works for a long time. The new household “will ensure that permanent support arrangements for the Duke and Duchess’s work are in place as they start their family and move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage.”

Meghan and Harry’s staff will be physically based at Buckingham Palace; their official residence and home they live in will be Frogmore Cottage.

Meghan and Harry do have one post on their Instagram account, which is a photo of their joint monogram, a gallery of photos of them at work, and a personal message from the couple. “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal,” Harry and Meghan wrote.
