Lili Reinhart has taken to Instagram today to come out as bisexual.

While promoting a protest happening in West Hollywood called “LGBTQ+ for #BlackLivesMatter” on her Instagram story, she revealed her personal connection to Pride Month.

“Although I’ve never announced it publicly before, I am a proud bisexual woman,” wrote the 23-year-old Riverdale star. “And I will be joining this protest today. Come join.”

The Swimming Lessons author has been vocal lately about her feelings on racism and police brutality in the United States. “I want to say that I am ashamed of the racism that exists in this country,” she wrote on Twitter on June 1. “We are taught to look at our police officers as helpful and friendly when we learn about “leaders” in elementary school. Our “leaders” have failed us today.”

Reinhart further shared her thoughts about protesting and activism with us in a recent interview. “I’m disappointed in my country, it’s pretty upsetting,” she told us in reference to racial injustices. “But I’m also proud of how much activism is in our country and how many people are willing to stand up against injustice. It’s always pretty incredible to see such huge crowds of people taking it upon themselves to fight for justice.”
