Happy birthday to Princess Charlotte! Today, the only daughter of Kate Middleton, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, turns five years old. To mark the occasion, Kensington Palace has released five new images of Princess Charlotte taken by her mother.

According to the posts shared on social media platforms: “The images were taken by The Duchess as the family helped to pack up and deliver food packages for isolated pensioners in the local area.” The family has been isolating at their country home in Norfolk, about a three-hour drive from their home, Kensington Palace, in London.

Charlotte’s younger brother, Prince Louis, also recently celebrated his birthday – he turned two years old on April 23. As is tradition, Kensington Palace released (adorable) new portraits of Louis to mark the occasion. Prince George, Kate Middleton and Prince William’s eldest child, is six years old, and turns seven on July 22.

In a recent video call with the BBC, Kate and Prince William shared that homeschooling their three kids has proven to be “challenging.”

“The children have got such stamina, I don’t know how, honestly,” said Middleton. “You get to the end of the day, you write down all the list of the things you’ve done in that day. You sort of pitch a tent, take the tent down again, cook, bake, you get to the end of the day, they’ve had a lovely time, but it is amazing how much you can cram into one day, that’s for sure.”
