Congratulations are in order for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom, who are expecting their first child together. It’s Perry’s first child, while Bloom shares a 9-year-old son, Flynn, with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

Perry revealed the pregnancy in the final moments of the music video for her new track, “Never Worn White.”

“Omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore,” she jokingly tweeted. “Or carry around a big purse lol.”

Perry took to Instagram Live to chat with fans about baby and album-related news. “There’s a lot that will be happening this summer,” she said. “Not only will I be giving birth, literally, but also figuratively to something you guys have been waiting for.”

She also explained why she chose to reveal her pregnancy through a music video: “I like to tell you guys everything but I knew I would tell you in the best way, which is through a piece of music because that’s… I guess that’s how I speak to you. That’s how we speak together to each other.”

Perry and Bloom got engaged in February 2019 and the lyrics from “Never Worn White” imply a wedding could take place in the not-so-distant future.
