‘So what’, you may be saying, ‘Kate Middleton wears stuff on her head all the time.’ And yes, it’s true she wears fascinators like every second day. But a hat, an actual hat hat? That’s news, folks. 

The Duchess of Cambridge (and basically all the other royals, hey Harry, looking good in that suit) celebrated the British Commonwealth today, and for the occasion, she paired Canadian designer Erdem’s lace-embellished gray coat with a topper that heavily borrows influences from Carmen Sandiego, James Bay and a 1950’s businessman by John Boyd.
