Emily Ratajkowski is continuing to be open when it comes to sharing her feelings about pregnancy and motherhood.

The model gave birth to her child Sly – her first with husband Sebastian Bear-McClard – on March 8, 2021 after announcing her pregnancy in October 2020.

During her pregnancy and since the birth, the model has taken to Instagram on numerous occasions to share her intimate and honest views of becoming a mother, gender and raising a child. And this is exactly the kind of relatable content we need to see.

Ahead of the release of her new book, My Body, Ratajkowski is continuing to talk openly about her motherhood journey.

From birth to breastfeeding, here’s everything Emily Ratajkowski has said about early motherhood so far:

During an interview on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the model and activist admitted that the pandemic gave her time to slow down.

“I think something about the pandemic, being pregnant, having that kind of weird sense of time that we all had when we didn’t have to show up places was really good for me but since he has been born I am the most productive person in the world, just because I – every second is for him and then there is extra time,” she said.

She also admitted that she went back to work two weeks after giving birth, “because I was on deadline.”

“So I was like writing a book and breastfeeding every two to three hours. And felt totally insane and incapable of doing it. And now I’m here talking about it so I think things have worked out,” she added.

“If it seems like I’m always breastfeeding it’s because I am,” she captioned the post.

In one of the photos, the model appeared to have her eyes shut while breastfeeding her little one and in another, Ratajkowski can be seen looking at the camera with a sleepy half-smile.

This isn’t the first time the new mum has shared photos of herself feeding Sly on social media.

On March 24, she posted one photo of the sweet in which she gazes down at her child. The post’s caption reads: “Beautiful boy.”

On March 11, the model shared a snap of herself breastfeeding her newborn to announce the tot’s arrival and name.

“Sylvester Apollo Bear has joined us earth side,” she captioned the photo. “Sly arrived 3/8/21 on the most surreal, beautiful, and love-filled morning of my life.”

Several celebrities and friends of Ratajkowski and her husband commented on the post to share their well wishes.

Following the birth announcement, the model shared several never-before-seen images of herself and her child during and after their birth on March 18.

In the photos, the 30-year-old can be seen lying down on what appears to be a hospital bed, holding her child close to her chest and breathing on gas and air.

Emily Ratajkowski on Pregnancy

Throughout her pregnancy, Ratajkowski remained powerfully candid about the changes she was experiencing both physically and emotionally.

With her pregnancy announcement last October, she described her decision to embrace the feelings of powerlessness she had been experiencing as she prepared for parenthood.

“I’m completely and undeniably helpless when it comes to almost everything surrounding my pregnancy: how my body will change, who my child will be,” she wrote at the time. “But I’m surprisingly unbothered. Instead of feeling afraid, I feel a new sense of peace. I’m already learning from this person inside my body. I’m full of wonder.”
