Brooklyn Beckham, the eldest child of Victoria and David Beckham, has announced his engagement to Nicola Peltz. In an Instagram post, the 21-year-old shared that he asked the 25-year-old American actress to marry him two weeks ago.

“Two weeks ago I asked my soulmate to marry me and she said yes xx I am the luckiest man in the world,” wrote Beckham.” I promise to be the best husband and the best daddy one day ❤️ I love you baby xx.”

“You’ve made me the luckiest girl in the world,” said Peltz (Transformers: Age of Extinction, Bates Motel) in a post on her own Instagram page. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life by your side. Your love is the most precious gift. I love you so so much baby.”

Fashion designer Victoria Beckham enthusiastically congratulated the couple, calling the engagement “the most exciting news” and adding that the family “could not be happier” and wished them “so much love and a lifetime of happiness.” David Beckham also offered words of support: “Congratulations to these two beautiful people. As they begin this exciting journey together we are so so happy for you guys.”

All Beckham family members shared the same photo of the couple, taken by Harper, Brooklyn’s 9-year-old sister. Victoria and David Beckham also have two other sons, Romeo, 17, and Cruz, 15.
