Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez’s Venice Film Festival and Met Gala appearances truly are a sign that things between them are very, very serious just a couple months in, a source made clear to Us Weekly. Lopez and Affleck, who first dated from 2002 to early 2004 (they got engaged then called their September 2003 wedding off during that time), are all in on their second go.

“They feel so blessed to be living this real-life fairy tale, and will be getting engaged—then married—down the line,” Us‘s source said. “Without any shadow of doubt.”

That source also said that going red carpet official again was a truly magical for them. “Going red carpet official was a wonderful experience, and they were just so proud to shout their love from the rooftops like they did,” the source said. “The messages were pouring in from all over Hollywood and beyond, saying how cute they looked, and that meant the world to both Ben and J.Lo.”

In July, a source told E! that J.Lo and Affleck weren’t thinking of getting married at that point. “[They] are fully committed to each other,” the source said. “[They are] not needing to get married again.”

“They have been meshing their lives and families and don’t feel the need to get engaged yet or even tie the knot,” the source added. “They have both been there and don’t feel it’s necessary. They are both very secure within their relationship, and Ben worships her. It’s truly meant to be and everyone around them thinks they are a perfect match.”
