What's going on between Nicki Minaj and Giuseppe Zanotti?
Nicki Minaj has called out the shoe designer for reportedly using her name without asking.

Now that Beyoncé is (maybe) finished breaking the Internet with baby bump photos, Twitter’s attention has turned to another celeb. On Friday afternoon the hashtag #GiuseppeWhatsGood began trending worldwide when Nicki Minaj used to it draw attention to world-renowned shoe designer Guiseppe Zanotti. According to Minaj, the designer named several shoe styles “Nicki” without consulting her and is reportedly not taking her calls.
Zanotti is no stranger to celebrity collaborations, his most recent being with Jennifer Lopez. Other stars he’s worked with include Beyoncé, Zayn Malik and Kanye West.
Here’s a timeline of what has happened thus far:
Minaj published a series of Instagram posts giving the brand 24 hours to respond to the matter. She also took to Twitter to call out the brand in a series of tweets. Her worldwide following made the hashtag go viral in a matter of minutes.
This is wonderful. #GiuseppeZanotti seems to think it’s ok to name his sneakers after me but his PR says they won’t take our call. Lol.

Just over an hour after Minaj posted her first tweet, all shoes named after her disappeared from Giuseppe Zanotti’s website, however the brand hasn’t released a formal response to the allegations on their social media.

Update: Minaj returned to Twitter, writing “women are always shamed by other [sic] when speaking up in the work place,” and urging the brand to make a charitable donation, which she will match.
