All eyes may be on Meghan and Harry while they’re on their first-ever royal tour, but back at home, Wills and Kate are still hard at work.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended a state banquet at Buckingham Palace last night, and sharp-eyed royal watchers were quick to notice that Kate was wearing the Lover’s Knot tiara—a favourite of Princess Diana’s. For the formal event, the duchess opted for a blue Alexander McQueen gown and a diamond and pearl necklace (which originally belonged to Queen Alexandra and was beloved by the Queen Mother), and she finished the look with pearl drop earrings, which also belonged to her late mother-in-law.

According to People, the Lover’s Knot is often referred to as the Cambridge Lover’s Knot and is one of the best-known tiaras in the British royal family’s collection because it was one of Diana’s favourites. The mag also notes that it was originally commissioned by Queen Mary—Queen Elizabeth II’s grandmother—over 100 years ago.

Diana, of course, was not allowed to keep the tiara after divorcing Prince Charles, and it wasn’t seen in public again until Kate first wore the tiara herself in 2015.
