One bite of Boudin Noire on a Tarte Tatin from the wizards behind Quebec City’s
Le Bouchon Du Pied Bleu and you’ll believe you’re fluent in French—or at least you’ll be too happy to care that you don’t understand a word. (Translation for the less French-food inclined among you: sausage atop apple pie. Don’t. It was delicious.) I met the charmers at the enRoute’s Best New Restaurant party last week in Toronto and their
joie de vivre lifted my spirit all night long. (Ok, so some
joie was from the free flowing wine.) Le Bouchon has quickly made a name for itself because of its exciting menu of classic-with-a-twist. So unless the boys are planning another trip to Toronto (Hello? Are you listening? I’ll be the one with the fork at the ready), I’ll be hitting up Vieux Quebec this winter for another taste of the bistro’s yummy fare. What’s the best dish you’ve tasted lately? Read more:
