tiff-august-osage_county-2013The stars of August: Osage County. Story by Sabrina Maddeaux.

Sabrina Maddeaux reports on the
August: Osage County press conference minus Meryl Streep, reviews
Under the Skin, and takes in the wild
Kill Your Darlings after party with Daniel Radcliffe and Michael C. Hall.

Quotables: The director and all-star cast of
August: Osage County, one of
TIFF’s most highly anticipated films, sat down to talk about the film with journalists at the film’s official press conference. Unfortunately the woman everyone wanted to talk to most, Meryl Streep, was absent due to illness (although Julia Roberts joked she was just sleeping in). Roberts said the film was the most challenging project she’s ever taken on. “We worked our asses off because there was no other way to do it. I’ve never worked so hard in my life and I have given birth to three children. It was like a mountain to climb every single day and the only way to climb it, we discovered, was holding hands whether we liked it or not.”
