When your Uber arrives and it's a flying car
We’re basically living in The Jetsons, guys…or at least we will be if Uber has it’s way.
The ubiquitous taxi-industry-disrupting service has a new paradigm it wants to break – the whole idea that you know, the car that picks you up has to have four wheels and drive on the road. They’ve just announced that they plan to have a fleet of ‘flying cars’ within ten years.
They’re calling it Uber Elevate and it’s been billed as ‘an on demand aviation’ service. It makes sense in so many ways (bye traffic!), and it would be so much faster (what took hours takes minutes etc) but also, TBH, it’s a little terrifying, right?
