Three easy beauty looks for fall
With the chill finally in the air, I’m fully embracing fall’s beauty trends and leaving my gloss and bronzer behind. This season’s crop of beauty trends ranged from overly dramatic eyes sweeps of violet shadow at Jason Wu, precisely drawn lips and eyes at Dolce & Gabbana, and fierce, sculpted brows at Jean Paul Gaultier. But in between there were some totally wearable looks that can be pulled off everyday (and won’t have your co-workers wondering if you’ve taken up some interesting art lessons). These are my top three picks:
Go smudgy at Marni A bold red lip is
always in (no matter what the season). But what makes this one so simple and so
this season is the smudged, stained, multi-tonal colour that drenched the model’s lips. It’s as easy as mixing your
usual red lippy with a slightly darker hue in the middle (for that wine-stained effect), and not being too perfect.
Stella McCartney’s fresh I-just-came-from-yoga-class look How easy can this be? Start with a flawless complexion (view some of our fave
foundation correctors here), add some brow powder and a slick of girly pink gloss. Done.
Blow outs and smoke at H&M A smoky brown eye with loads of lashes and fall go together like Tom Ford and killer boots. They can’t escape each other. Throw in a head of soft cascade-like waves, and I’m already reaching for my over-sized knit turtle neck and a cup of steaming hot cocoa.
