The best green smoothie recipe ever
I love smoothies like other people love puppies. The first time I went to Jamba Juice, on a Stateside camping road trip, I loved my strawberry-and-banana smoothie so much that I went to a phone booth and called the 1-800 number to find out how much it cost to open a Jamba franchise. (Answer:
Way too much for someone who then defined luxury as a deluxe suite at the Motel 6.) Since then, I’ve been searching for the perfect at-home smoothie recipe. And, friends, I believe I’ve found it.

Mayo Clinic, is everything. It’s beyond delicious: the mint cuts the spinach; the banana adds perfect texture, the berries a burst of summertime flavour. It’s incredibly healthy, and only 50 calories. It’s also a lovely purple colour. Bottom line? It’s the best of all possible worlds and you should totally try it this afternoon. 1. 1 banana 2. 1/2 cup strawberries 3. Juice of 1 lemon (about 4 tablespoons) 4. 1/2 cup other berries (I use blueberries, but blackberries would be delicious too) 5. 2 ounces fresh raw baby spinach (about 2 cups) 6. 1 tablespoon fresh mint< 7. 1 cup cold water or ice Cue total joy.
