Who ever said that all that’s green can’t also be gold? We’ve scoured the globe for the top six eco-spas that are as lush with regal pampering as they are with natural beauty products and spa treatments (not to mention welcomed extras of organic cocktails and desserts). Give it a go—sometimes the relaxation is greener on the other side.

Top eco-spa: Grail Springs Health and Wellness Spa, Bancroft, Ont. (grailsprings.com)

Green locale: Smack-dab in the mineral capital of Canada, the wellness environment is lush with meditation gardens, hundred-acre forested trails, and the spring-fed Chalice Lake, and features a hike to the crystal crop. The magnetic charge from the naturally grown gems of quartz crystal and marble creates the perfect healing backdrop for one of the country’s top eco-spas.

Spa treatments to try:
Detox pores and restore skin’s natural pH balance, plus increase blood flow with the Austrian Moor Mud Facial ($105, 45 minutes); choose from the essential oils used in the Aromatherapy Sacred Oil Baths with Holistic Massage—Meditation, Passion, Dragon, Peace Intention,— harvested in Glastonbury, England and believed to have holistic healing powers.

Top eco-spa: Daintree Eco Lodge & Spa, Queensland, Australia. (daintree-ecolodge.com.au)

Green locale: Elders from the Kuku Yalanji tribe— the Aboriginals indigenous to the Daintree Rainforest where the lodge is situated—personally approved each treatment on the Daintree Wellness Spa’s menu. Trust you’re in good hands: they named the area Wawu-Karrba, or healing of the spirit.

Spa treatments to try:
Bathe in warmed oil and desert sea salt in the Walbul-Walbul (butterfly) signature treatment (approx. $319, 120 minutes); soak up the healing waters of the Daintree Rainforest waterfall infused with coconut milk and lime –like swimming in a piña colada—while sipping on fruit juice in the Purely Bathing treatment (approx. $87, 30 minutes).

Top eco-spa: Tranquility Organic Spa, Vancouver. (tranquilityvancouver.com)

Green locale: Get the majestic views of Vancouver, just tranquilly tucked away from the bustle of it all in the city’s Yaletown district. Spa services are entirely organic, made up of locally grown herbs, essential oils, fresh flowers and fruit, and using ingredients from the ocean for a natural glow.

Spa treatments to try:
A natural beauty treatment featuring a minty cucumber soak and sea salt scrub, plus seaweed mask and massage mani ($45); Vitamin Cocktail facial, infused with Vitamin C to repair sun damage and leave a sun-kissed glow ($100, 60 minutes).
