Dr. Dennis Gross Skincare Alpha Beta Universal Daily Peel is the skincare product I recommend to everyone. You will glow, guaranteed. Absolutely worth the price. Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter is the makeup product I recommend to everyone. You will also glow and the product lasts forever – a little dab goes a long way. Biossance Squalane + Lactic Acid Resurfacing Night Serum is another fave (can you tell I like acids?). I regularly buy Lano The Original 101 Ointment Mulitpurpose Superbalm. I have incredibly sensitive/reactive skin (some lip products leave me with a ring of eczema around my lips) and this one gives me no problems. Next: Sol De Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream. Ignore the name of this product: you can use it on your whole body (but not your face). Yes, you can buy much cheaper moisturizers, but none of them will smell this good. Being inside lately has done a number on my scalp, so I’m really looking forward to trying out Drunk Elephant T.L.C. Happi Scalp Scrub (more acids, but for your scalp!). Tatcha Water Cream is one of my go-to lightweight moisturizers, as is their Pearl Tinted Eye Illuminating Treatment. I’ve been using Dermalogica AGE Smart Phyto-Nature Firming Serum on my neck/décolletage area. The product promises to reduce visible signs of aging by five years, which is motivating enough for me to apply daily.

Kérastase Nutritive 8HR Magic Night Serum works wonders on any hair type and smells amazing. I highly recommend this for anyone who wakes up with major bedhead and needs to look presentable first thing in the morning (hello Zoom meetings!). Tatcha Violet C Radiance Mask and Olehenriksen Cold Plunge Pore Mask – these two are so fun to use. Violet C has a gorgeous lilac colour while Cold Plunge is deep turquoise. They’re the only masks that call me to snap a selfie while I’m wearing them. Biossance Squalane + Glycolic Renewal Mask is a great pre-makeup mask. It improves texture and brightens without turning your skin beet red (often a result of using exfoliating peels.) For makeup, the Kaja Beauty Bento Bouncy Shimmer Eyeshadow Trio (yes, it’s a mouthful) is an absolute steal. Colour payoff is amazing and the shades are very pretty. And if you don’t have the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette yet, now is the time to snag it. I picked it up during last year’s sale and never looked back.

I’ve been using the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask because my lips have been dry AF in self isolation. I’m also using the Briogeo Farewell Frizz™ Blow Dry Perfection Heat Protectant Crème because I did that one thing your weren’t supposed to do in quarantine and cut my own hair. Now, I need to try and style it. Finally, Drunk Elephant’s A-Passioni™ Retinol Cream. I’m jumping from 0.3% to 1% so if I react badly at least no one will see it!

Whenever the Sephora sale comes around, I can’t not purchase the following products because they’re some of my favourites and I know I’ll finish them. Of all the vitamin C serums I have tried, nothing leaves me quite as glowy as Sunday Riley’s C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum. Charlotte Tilbury’s Magic Cream Moisturizer is definitely my favourite moisturizer – I wish I could find a dupe for it but nothing compares. Laura Mercier’s Tinted Moisturizer (oil free!) for when I actually start wearing makeup again. Also, Drunk Elephant’s Marula Face Oil – I love to mix a drop with an AHA/BHA gel before bed.

After hearing the rave reviews from my colleagues about this product, I’ll be putting the Farmacy Honey Potion Renewing Antioxidant Hydration Mask in my cart. I like that it helps with dullness and have a hunch that the warming sensation will feel very relaxing. Another recommended product was the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream Moisturizer, which I hope lives to up the name for my skin, because it’s on the drier side right now. I’ve also recently discovered the low-maintenance joy and mood-boosting effects of face mists and can’t wait to get my hands on the cult favourite Caudalie Beauty Elixir. Rounding out my order will be the Olehenriksen Banana Bright Vitamin C Serum and Ren Clean Skincare Overnight Glow Dark Spot Sleeping Cream to deal with breakouts and dark spots.

I, like many before me, felt a little wary of using an oil on my acne-prone skin. Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Antioxidant Face Oil is the first face oil I tried and it made me a total convert. The super-hydrating gel formula of Laneige Lavender Water Sleeping Mask is so soothing and the lavender scent makes for a nice pre-bedtime ritual. I have already gone on about my love for L’Occitane’s almond hand cream. If possible, I love L’Occitane Almond Smoothing and Beautifying Milk Concentrate even more. It’s the best body cream I’ve ever used. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate is very lightweight and yet helps my skin through even the coldest of our Canadian winters, making it perfect for year-round use. My skin never looks more glow-y than when after I use it.
