As the seasons change, my skin becomes duller. Last fall, I decided to take matters into my own hands to find a beauty routine that would deeply nourish my skin and restore its radiance. Two months later, here’s where I’m at, and the products I’m using.

I was armed with unwavering determination when I went to have my skin looked at in a Kiehl’s store. On site, using a tool similar to a forehead thermometer, an expert measured the level of hydration in my skin, free of charge. Unsurprisingly, the device indicated the low pass mark of …. 62%. Even though I drink a lot of water and apply moisturizers every day, the expert made an assessment of the needs of my skin, which lacked, among other things, Vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and Retinol. I told him that some evenings, I was too tired to remove my makeup, an essential step when it comes to healthy skin.

Kiehl’s skin expert gave me a complete skincare routine that goes from cleanser to sun protection. Even though I was a bit skeptical and intimidated by the new extensive regime, I went for it. My new routine includes a morning and nighttime ritual, but both begin the same way: I cleanse my face with the Ultra Facial Cleanser, then apply the Oil-Free Ultra-Facial™ Lotion and finally the Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturizing Serum Concentrate.

In the morning, I apply the Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing & Dark Circle-Diminishing Vitamin C Eye Serum. Then, I go in with another serum, this time, the Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Concentrate which includes vitamin C and hyaluronic acid. To lock everything in, I apply the Super Multi-Corrective Cream and finally, I protect my skin from UV rays with the Super Fluid Daily UV Defense SPF 50+ lotion.

Every night before bed, after cleanser, toner and serum (the first three products I also use in the morning), I apply the Midnight Recovery Eye cream, followed by Retinol Fast Release Wrinkle-Reducing Night Serum and Midnight Recovery Omega Rich Cloud Cream. To ensure ultra-moisture, I finish it all with the Midnight Recovery Concentrate.

The whole routine it takes me less than five minutes, twice a day.

After a month of daily application, I saw a significant improvement in the appearance of my skin—it was brighter and less tight. I went back to the store to (re)measure the level of hydration of my skin. The result? The score went from 62% to 82% in 30 days: my routine was tested and more than approved!
