Almost three years after the launch of Fenty Beauty and following a year of speculation as to whether or not she would enter the skincare market, Rihanna has finally graced us with a skincare line. Fenty Skin, a three-product offering set to launch on July 31st, was inspired by Rihanna’s personal skincare journey.

The singer-slash-businesswoman says she grew up intimidated and overwhelmed by the vast amount of skincare products on the market and their complex ingredient lists. “Fenty Skin is everything I wish I had back then,” says Rihanna in a press release. “I wanted it to feel approachable, easy, and to take the pressure off choosing a routine, so I created one for everyone.”

The initial drop consists of of three multitasking “skin start’rs”: a cleanser, a toner-serum, and a moisturizer/SPF. Rihanna’s goal was to create a simplified routine that would appeal across all ages and skin tones (kind of like her industry-disrupting foundation, wouldn’t you agree?) The packaging is a custom “lavender-slate” shade that is meant to be gender neutral and was inspired by a car spotted by Rihanna herself.

Fenty Skin Cleanser

The first product in the lineup is the Total Cleans’r Remove-It-All Cleanser, a sweet-scented cleansing balm. The cleanser, made up of antioxidant-rich ingredients like barbados cherry, ginkgo biloba, green tea, fig and quince, is formulated to remove makeup while softening the skin. One of the most important things to Rihanna, the brand says, was that the cleanser did not leave the skin feeling stripped or dry.

Fenty Skin Toner Serum

The Fat Water Pore-Refining Toner Serum (and yes, Rihanna did create the name), is a thick toner-serum hybrid that employs niacinamide, green tea and witch hazel to fade dark spots and mattify skin. No need to use a cotton pad: just rub a few drops into your hands and pat into skin.

Fenty Skin SPF

Last, but certainly not least, the Hydra Vizor Invisible Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Sunscreen is a melon-scented SPF-spiked moisturizer that is “the one product Rihanna can’t live without.” The lotion, which comes in a refillable cartridge, applies invisible and is formulated without oxybenzone (making it a reef-safe SPF option). “We created this pink hue that works on all skin tones allowing it to blend in effortlessly and leave a healthy glow on skin,” says Rihanna.

Fenty Skin Hydra Vizor

HYDRA VIZOR INVISIBLE MOISTURIZER BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 30 SUNSCREEN ($35 USD; refill $30 USD)

All packaging is made out of post-consumer recycled material and is created with “earth-conscious details” in mind. RiRi eliminated boxes and shrink wrap to minimize waste (the Hydra Vizor is housed in a cardboard box to comply with SPF regulations). Although the brand acknowledges they are not a fully sustainable brand, they are making an effort to be environmentally friendly where possible.

Fenty Skin launches exclusively on fentyskin.com on July 31st.
