"The look at Anna Sui is based on Anna May Wong (a Chinese-American film star of the ’20s) in the film Picadilly, Angelina Houston and Mary Quant mod," says Pat McGrath, COVERGIRL Global Creative Design Director. To get the look, McGrath applied concealer to brows to turn the focus downward. Then, she lined the eyes with an inky black pencil and followed by applying a vivid blue or green eyeshadow. While the green was a custom mix by McGrath, the blue shade was COVERGIRL Flamed Out Shadow Pot in Sapphire Flare. On the lips, she applied COVERGIRL Queen Collection Lipstick in Fine Wine mixed with COVERGIRL LipPerfection Lipstick in Hot.

"Girls are afraid to cut their hair, but the way to really play with it is to go buy a set of bangs and put them on your head. Have your hairdresser cut them. Put them on, wear them for the night. Maybe it might change you! Everyone ties their hair back into a bun because they can’t deal with hair on their face so my philosophy is if you have fringe, use it, own it and wear it." Sound advice.
