PhillipLim_beautyFall2014 At 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Fall 2014 show, I bumped into the ridiculously beautiful Maggie Jablonski—and no, she’s of no relation to Jacqueline or Constance. But we can assume she’s destined for supermodelly things. She’s from Iowa and it’s her second season at New York Fashion Week. Jablonski started
modelling after her grandmother tossed her into a fashion show in Kansas City. This season, she’s walked for
Alexander Wang (um, HUGE), Zimmerman and Rebecca Taylor; she wouldn’t reveal any other shows but I’m hoping to see her at Marc by Marc Jacobs (she appeared there last season). As for the beauty message, it was all about ‘rocking the casbah’, according to Francelle Daly for NARS Cosmetics. Daly built a strong, squared brow with a "tapered finish and feathered edges." In breaking beauty news, the brand announced a partnership with 3.1 Phillip Lim this morning, unleashing eight shades of nail polish (one will be a NARS boutique exclusive—don’t you just want that one *so* much more?). For this show, they used the deep blue "Crossroads" shade—a moody creamy deep purple shade. The hair is ’80s-inspired by way of Paul Hanlon for Moroccanoil. He mixed the classic Moroccanoil treatment with the brand’s Curl Cream to help "give it guts." If he used the treatment exclusively, the hair would fall flat as soon as the girls hit the catwalk. Finally Hanlon used a men’s comb to break up the pieces along the hairline and finished the look with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray.
