Met Gala 2014 Beauty: Blake Lively in Bronze
Blake Lively at the Met Gala 2014. She’s thinking about Ryan right now, isn’t she. Take a number, honey! I admit that much of my interest in Blake Lively comes from an unhealthy obsession with her husband, Ryan Reynolds. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t want to know how she put this gorgeous beauty look together (largely because I imagine Ryan waiting in the wings, a Scotch in his hand and several minions Drake-style lint rolling his
impeccable velvet suit. Sigh.) Okay, now onto how to get Blake’s makeup on your face.
Makeup artist Elaine Offers for NARS Cosmetics said the inspiration for the look is routed in glamour. "This look is very classic but very glamorous. We wanted to nod to Charles James’ aesthetic by creating a look reminiscent of vintage Hollywood but modernize it with a muted red lip."
Offers used the following NARS products: Baalbek Eye Paint (which is beautiful smudged down into the lash line, or as an eyeliner), Subra Dual Intensity Eyeshadow and Salsa Lip Liner Pencil to outline Blake’s lips. More:
