Fashion elite recently gathered in Palermo, Sicily, to witness the grandeur of Dolce and Gabbana’s latest Alta Moda collection. Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana payed homage to Sicilian culture by weaving references to Italian history throughout the collection (think: gowns with hand-painted quotes from classic Italian literature floating down the runway). The beauty look was appropriately regal. Industry legend Pat McGrath adorned models’ lips with scarlet hued-lipstick. Skin had a velvety finish, and blush was applied only to the apples of cheeks. On the eyes, McGrath created a razor-sharp winged liner.
