In the Heart of the Plaza

Head to the emblematic Plaza Hotel a few hours before the presentation of the American brand, particularly known for its “fairy tale” universe of romantic dresses available in a wide range of pinks, ranging from a delicate pink to a vibrant fuchsia.

From the balcony, the place is grandiose: the high ceilings, the gilding, the arches. In the middle of this space swarms with dozens of models, make-up artists, hairdressers, nail artists, stylists, the LoveShackFancy teams, KISS, imPRESS Manicure, (and even a dog!)

To the Fingertips

The atmosphere is friendly (even if a lot of people are running around!). Pop music in the background, models with smiles on their faces move from one station to another to have their hair done, make up, dress, accessorize and… have their nails done.

Famous nail artist and KISS brand ambassador Gina Edwards reflects on the four false nail looks created for the event by imPRESS Press-On Manicure and KISS.

“This season, LoveShackFancy wanted to show a neutral and wearable collection.” Edwards and her team created delicate nail styles that matched the vision of their fashion partner: “imPRESS Press-On Manicure in the shades ‘Pink Dream’ and ‘Latte’ were perfect neutral bases to create feminine looks, and I was able to add delicate symbols of hearts and roses, and love to each look.” These finishes are done by hand, then painted. Micro-art!

At the speed at which everything happens backstage, what could be better than press-on false nails for a quick application? We choose the size of nail adapted to the fingers of the models (33 is the number for this presentation) then we remove the adhesive strip and we press to stick. As simple as that.

Nail Trends for Fall-Winter 2023

We couldn’t go without asking Gina Edwards what will be the star colors for Fall-Winter 23 for our nails: “Trends come and go, and some are yet to be defined, but we will see a lot of purple and dark red, metallic colors, dark purple, deep blues…” Noted!
