8 Products From Celebrity Beauty Brands That Are Actually Worth Your Money
These products have all earned their place in our beauty bags.
by : Angela Law- Aug 2nd, 2024
It’s perhaps an understatement to say that celebrity beauty brands are polarising. Seemingly every popular celebrity has dabbled in the beauty world, taking the old ambassador model of decades past to a whole new level by starting their own brand.
It’s nearly impossible to keep up with all the launches, so it’s perhaps appropriate that a healthy level of scepticism has emerged amongst consumers and beauty editors alike. Like all things in life, there are good and bad sides to everything.
It stands to reason then, that there are plenty of celebrity beauty brands that we’ll leave on the shelf. But just as many boast standout products that we’ve happily added to our daily beauty routines. Keep on reading to find out which celebrity beauty products are worth the hype.
The Best Celebrity Beauty Products, 2024
SOFT PINCH LIQUID BLUSH, RARE BEAUTY BY SELENA GOMEZ
Few celebrity beauty brands have received as much praise as Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty, and the ultra-pigmented liquid blushes are especially popular. With shade options to suit all skin tones, we’re convinced a single tube will last a lifetime as we’ve never seen anyone finish every last drop. (For this reason, you could probably opt for the travel size, comfortable in the knowledge that it will still last years.)

MATCH STIX MATTE CONTOUR SKINSTICK, FENTY BEAUTY BY RIHANNA
It goes without saying that Rihanna’s Fenty foundations are top-tier. But we love the convenient Match Stix, thanks to their convenience and blendability. These long-wearing but lightweight contour sticks are available in nine shades (virtually unheard of for a contour or bronzer product). The Match Stix range also includes blush, foundation, and highlighters, if you want to convert your entire routine to stick format.
Price: $43
POWER PLUSH LONGWEAR CONCEALER, KYLIE COSMETICS BY KYLIE JENNER
When you think of Kylie Cosmetics, you probably picture the ultra-matte lip kits that launched the brand back in 2015. But our favourite product from the range is the Power Plush Longwear Concealer, which is matte but not cakey and has excellent coverage that doesn’t budge throughout the day. Kylie Jenner recently announced that she has launched a skin tint in 24 shades (impressive for a skin tint), and we can’t wait to try out the brand’s first foray into lighter coverage cosmetics.
Price: $33
GEL CRUSH LIP & CHEEK, FLOWER BEAUTY BY DREW BERRYMORE
Though this year is shaping up to be the year of stick makeup products, they aren’t especially new, and there are a few that have been long-time favourites of ours. One product that’s garnered particularly good reviews is the Gel Crush Lip and Cheek stick from Drew Barrymore’s Flower Beauty. The product is pigmented but also sheer enough to blend easily with your fingers. Plus, it also doubles as a glowy lip tint — and who doesn’t love an affordable, multi-use product?
Price: $14
TRICLONE SKIN TECH MEDIUM COVERAGE FOUNDATION, HAUS LABS BY LADY GAGA
Lady Gaga was not playing around when she launched Haus Labs. The breakout product from the range is the medium-buildable coverage foundation, which is available in 51 inclusive shades. The formula is infused with the brand’s proprietary fermented arnica to help reduce redness, and is praised for its skin-like finish. It also has a 4.6-star rating from a whopping 10,000+ reviews, so you don’t need to take our word for it.
Price: $65
SATIN KAJAL LINER BY VICTORIA BECKHAM
Though Victoria Beckham’s beauty brand has historically been tougher to get our hands on in Australia, we can now shop the range directly through the brand’s website. If we had to recommend one product (hard to do), it’s the bold and buttery kajal liners. They’re available in three finishes (matte, shimmer, and jewel) and in classic shades like black and brown, plus more playful colours like a shimmery olive and matte teal green.
Price: $42
CREAM BLUSH REFILLABLE CHEEK & LIP COLOUR, ROSE INC BY ROSIE HUNTINGTON-WHITELY
Though Rosie Huntington-Whitely announced in May that she was stepping back from her brand, Rose Inc, this cream blush is still worth a mention. It has a firm texture, so you don’t need to worry about overdoing it on the first application. That said, it’s still buildable and pigmented enough to give you a healthy wash of colour across the cheeks, and has a satin finish that will suit all skin types. We’re particular fans of the peachy-rose shade, wisteria.
Price: $22
GOOPGLOW MICRODERM INSTANT GLOW EXFOLIATOR, GOOP BY GWYNETH PALTROW
Just like Gwyneth Paltrow herself, the Goop beauty range is luxe luxe luxe. This whipped exfoliator is a standout from the range, with both physical micro-exfoliating minerals (quartz, garnet, alumina, and silica) and a chemical exfoliant (glycolic acid) to polish the skin and leave you glowing to the Gods.
