Reese Witherspoon–she of Oscar Best Actress fame, and currently starring one of spring’s buzziest shows, Big Little Lies, has another feather for her cap: Storyteller in Chief for Elizabeth Arden. The iconic American beauty brand tapped the actress to “help shape the brand’s narrative, through its advertising campaigns and marketing programs, with a strong focus on Elizabeth Arden’s digital strategy and engagement.”
The new storyteller in chief says the brand’s rich heritage and history of supporting women was a big draw for her. “As one of the first female entrepreneurs, Elizabeth Arden paved the way for women like me. It’s an honour to carry on her legacy and be part of such an iconic company that is committed to serving women.” It’s an interesting alignment Witherspoon has also been busy launching her charming lifestyle brand Draper James, which sells everything from printed tableware to lace baseball caps and fit and flare dresses.
Witherspoon’s first campaign visual for the campaign will debut in print and digital in May, with a global campaign rolling out through 2017—and beyond.
