Nominations for the third annual L’Oréal Paris Canadian Women of Worth awards are now open. The awards, which are presented at a celebrity-hosted gala (Helen Mirren! Blake Lively!) in Toronto, recognize women who give back to their communities.

You can nominate a volunteer, philanthropist or change-maker now at womenofworth.ca to give them a chance at a $10,000 donation for their cause. Each year, the ten extraordinary Women of Worth are selected from hundreds of nominations and chosen for their significant contributions they have made across a range of important initiatives. The nominees will be judged on four distinct criteria: Addressing a crucial need in the community, the impact their inspiring contributions have made, their innovation on developing solutions and their passion to evoke change and inspire future generations.

In February 2019, the nominees will be announced and Canadians will be able to vote for a national honouree who will win an additional $10,000 grant for her non-profit cause. (See last year’s nominees here.)

All of the 2019 honourees will receive an all-expenses paid trip for two to Toronto to attend the gala on International Women’s Day (March 8). “When you’re in the vicinity of people of this quality [with] this energy and calibre of heart, it’s an impressive experience. It’s better than going to the Oscars,” Mirren said of attending last year’s event.

Entries will be accepted until January 8, 2019.
