Who doesn’t love a product that does more than its fair share? Estée Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup SPF 45 is the new holy grail of beauty multitaskers because it’s a foundation that also functions as a moisturizer and sunscreen, meaning you get skincare benefits and a dewy, radiant glow that lasts for up to 12 hours. Providing buildable medium to full coverage, the lightweight formula—which comes in an impressive 28 shades—instantly evens out the complexion and covers any redness, dark spots or imperfections. And that’s not all: Probiotic technology balances the skin microbiome. It’s enriched with nourishing omega-3 fatty acids and infused with Estée Lauder’s specially created IonCharged Water which increases the skin’s moisture level while allowing hydrating ingredients to penetrate more deeply. With a four-and-a-half-star rating and 98 percent reviewer recommendation on esteelauder.ca – this product speaks for itself.  We asked ELLE insider Tara Leigh Rose to try it out; here’s what she thought…

It’s lightweight

“The liquid formula is thin enough that I don’t feel like I’m wearing much on my face. I had it on all day and it didn’t bother me or feel heavy on the skin—in fact, I forgot I was even wearing makeup! Often, foundations that contain zinc oxide can feel greasy, but this one has a nice, smooth finish.”

It blends well

“The colour matching is perfect. Usually, products with SPF tend to be more white and make me look ashy, but the shade on this one is just right. The coverage is medium, which I prefer, and it didn’t settle into any pores or lines, which is so important.”

It gives a radiant glow

“I love the finish—it’s so pretty and dewy. I can just put this on before a video conference call, and with that one step I look really put together and radiant. As a bonus, the product has a really nice scent as well. Many products that contain SPF active ingredients smell like sunscreen, and I wouldn’t want to wear that every day. Futurist Hydra Rescue foundation smells fresh without being overpowering.”
