2) St. Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Face Sheet Mask

The St. Tropez Self Tan Express Bronzing Face Sheet Mask simultaneously hydrates and bronzes due to a hyaluronic-acid-based serum that gradually deposits pigment over 15 minutes. Unlike traditional self-tanners, there is no base colour, so the results are that of a normal sheet mask (read “glow-y”) until the streak-free tan develops eight hours later. You can also customize the depth of the shade: Five minutes nets you a light glow, while the full 15 minutes takes your skin to Tahiti for a week.

4) Vichy Minéral 89 Fortifying and Plumping Daily Booster

Thermal water is to Vichy what cheekbones are to Olivier Rousteing. So when the French skincare brand was formulating its daily booster, Minéral 89, its goal was to include the highest concentration of thermal water it had ever used (which makes sense, since the skin-soothing and healing H2O, in varying doses, is the hallmark ingredient in all of its products). “Our objective was to integrate more than 20 percent thermal water,” says Elisa Simonpietri, international scientific director for Vichy Laboratoires. The labs were able to get to 83 percent, she explains, but the formulation wasn’t perfect. The trouble was in fine-tuning the jelly-like product, which was inspired by the “bouncy skincare” trend coming out of South Korea. The other non-negotiable was that it had to be a fragrance-free formula that could be absorbed in seconds and contain as few ingredients as possible—they narrowed it down to 11—to ensure that it would play nice with any and all skincare that followed it. The brand calls Minéral 89 “product zero” because it should be the first product used after cleansing but also because it’s compatible with the skincare you’re already using. “You can use it with all kinds of products,” says Simonpietri. Like a fresh splash of water, it floods skin with hydration (thanks to the hyaluronic-acid component) and gives it an immediate plumped-up boost of radiance.
