10 last minute Halloween costumes you can make with three beauty products or less
by : Maryjane Peters- Oct 11th, 2016

Joanne The Scammer

You’ll need: A black elastic, an eyebrow pencil (we love Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz) and a faux-fur coat.
How-to: If you want to go all out on this costume, a blonde Joanne inspired wig is ideal. However, if you’re in a pinch last minute, tie hair in a low, loose ponytail, pulling out shorter layers at the front to give the appearance of Joanne’s signature bob. Taking your eyebrow pencil (brown eyeliner works too), lightly speckle the lower half of your face to create the appearance of a subtle beard, like @iambranden. Put on a fur coat and you’re ready to go. Iconic!
Beyoncé

You’ll need: A yellow dress, black kohl liner (we love Smashbox Always Sharp Waterproof Kôhl Liner) and a blow up baseball bat.
How-to: Our favorite pop culture look this year was Beyoncé in the Hold Up music video. Hunt for a yellow, flowy dress at a vintage store (or check out this steal from Zara). Rim your eyes with a sultry black kôhl and top off the entire look with a few gold accessories. Find a blow up baseball bat at the dollar store (we’re guessing you won’t be let into the bar with a real one), and you’re good 2 go!
Mermaid

You’ll need: Fishnet stockings, blue or green eyeshadow (we love M.A.C Pressed Pigment Eyeshadow in Midnight), and metallic lipgloss (check out Bite Beauty Gold Crème Lip Gloss).
How-to: Pull your fishnet stockings tight over one side of your face to create a temporary stencil for your “mermaid scales.” Using your eyeshadow, lightly colour in the spaces of the stocking to create a mermaid tail illusion (check out this makeup tutorial for a more detailed explanation). Style hair in big, loose curls and swipe a metallic gloss over lips for a look even Ariel would be jealous of.
KISS Member

You’ll need: Black eyeliner, black cream eye shadow (we love Make Up For Ever Aqua Black Waterproof Cream Eye Shadow), KISS band tee, ripped black jeans.
How-to: Using a photo for reference, draw a star around one of your eyes using a sharp black eyeliner. Fill in with shadow. Rep a Kiss band T and ripped black jeans for the ultimate rocker look. Just make sure you know all the words to I Was Made For Lovin’ You before you step out on the town.
Katniss Everdeen

You’ll need: A black hair elastic, a black windbreaker, green cargo pants and a faux Mockingjay pin.
How-to: Hiking gear is #thelook for this costume, so the more rugged you look, the better! Try to find an old brooch or pin in your grandmother’s jewelry box that you can wear to represent Katniss’ Mockingjay pin. Don’t forget her signature beauty look, the windswept side braid.
Pokémon Go Player

You’ll need: A backpack and a Pokémon hat
How-to: Try to find a Pokémon hat at a dollar store or online. Pair with a backpack and make sure your phone is out the entire time, as if you’re trying to catch a Snorlax.
Wednesday Addams

You’ll need: Two black elastics, black lipstick.
How-to: Tie your hair in tight braids on either side of your head, and finish off with a swipe of jet black lipstick (we can’t get enough of Make Up For Ever Rouge Artist Intense in Satin Black). The paler and more sallow your skin, the better! Dress in all black, obviously. It’s both Wednesday and Morticia’s favorite colour. For the ultimate Addam’s family look, get your hands on these ~spooky~ KISS nail decals.
#TBT Brittney Spears

You’ll need: Four hot pink elastics, two pink pom-poms a mini-skirt, and a LOT of attitude.
How to: Tie your hair into two school girl style braids and secure with your first set of elastics. DIY it and glue your pom-poms onto your second set of elastics, fastening at the top of the braid (or, shop these cuties at Claire’s).
Wonder Woman

You’ll need: A curling wand (we love the T3 Whirl Trio Interchangeable Styling Wand), strong hold hairspray and a thick gold headband.
How to: Loosely curl the bottom half of your hair with a curling want to give your locks body and bounce. We are like, sooooo jealous of Wonder Woman’s volume, so scrunch in a mousse on dry hair for extra ‘oomph. Style a thick gold headband just above your forehead and swipe a quick red gloss over your lips. Voila! You are ready to take on the Duke of Deception.
Twiggy

You’ll need: A turtleneck and the longest false lashes you can find.
How to: Twiggy was known for her big, beautiful eyes and long lashes. Embody the 60’s IT-girl by doing simple, pretty eye makeup, complete with a large feathery pair of falsies. We are obsessed with both M.A.C 48 Lash and Velour Silk Lashes. Take a swipe of mascara to your lower lash line… a signature Twiggy look indeed.
