If you’ve ever added a beauty blogger on Snapchat or Instagram, chances are you have seen a video or two of liquid lipstick being applied to perfectly hydrated lips. (And if you are a Kylie Jenner fan, you’ve probably seen thousands.) These videos literally keep me up at night, as I spend hours laying in bed watching 60 second clips of seriously talented artists applying gorgeous matte shades. The strategy that goes into the difficult-to-master application technique is truly the most impressive: from prepping lips with hydrating oils to adding highlight to the Cupid’s bow, these beauty bloggers have tons of tricks up their sleeves for all of your liquid lipstick woes. 

But fair warning, you may never apply your lipstick the same way again.
