Even passive consumers of Ariana Grande music know that the singer is rarely seen without her signature high ponytail and extensions. But she’s switched things up in self-isolation, sharing a photo of herself with her naturally dark, curly hair to social media with the caption “get a load of dis.”

Grande’s mother, Joan Grande, commented on the photo, calling her daughter “beyond stunning.” “Your natural hair/curls is a world of its own…,” she tweeted. “A magnificent beauty you are inside and out/ made up or natural … I love you…”

According to TMZ, Grande has been self-isolating with her rumoured boyfriend, L.A-based real estate agent Dalton Gomez.

Grande was one of the first celebrities to encourage her fan base to take coronavirus seriously. “I keep hearing from a surprising amount of people statements like ‘this isn’t a big deal’ / ‘we’ll be fine’… ‘we still have to go about our lives’ and it’s really blowing my mind,” she tweeted on March 15.

“It is incredibly dangerous and selfish to take this situation that lightly,” she added. “The ‘we’ll be fine because we’re young’ mindset is putting people who aren’t young and / or healthy in a lot of danger.”
