The crimpers were fired up for one of the season’s freshest, fuzziest looks. Also on the docket: buns, braids, ponytails and centre parts.

Punky Pre-Raphaelites and ’90s photography inspired the “cloudy and undone” knots at 3.1 Phillip Lim, says Canadian hair pro Susana Hong, whom we spotted in the backstage trenches behind a fog of dry shampoo. Prep hair with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse ($6). Use a crimper on dry hair (to speed things up, you can rough dry hair) to clamp pieces along the hairline for a nanosecond. Blast hair with TRESemmé Fresh Start Volumizing Dry Shampoo ($2) to boost texture. Gather everything into a ponytail and secure with an elastic band, and then wind the pony into a knot. Pluck a few pieces out around the hairline — “it should look imperfect and fuzzy,” says Hong. Finish with a misting of TRESemmé TRES Two Ultra Fine Mist Hair Spray ($6) and then laugh at everyone who took the time to blow out their hair that day.
