Let's be honest: unnatural hair colours are a sign of the times.
Stars: they’re just like us! They laze around in their PJs, indulge in quarantine cooking and switch up their hair in times of stress. And while we may have rolled our eyes at certain IGTV musical collaborations earlier this year, we’re loving the pastel and ultra-saturated dye jobs that have graced our feeds on celebrity heads as of late. These are the celebs that are doing it best.

If there’s one person who can rock aquamarine-blue hair, it’s Megan Thee Stallion. The newly appointed Revlon ambassador plays up the look with ultra-glossy flipped ends, a stack of bills and a Birkin bag. Iconic to say the least.

Leave it to Lizzo to match her manicure, eyeshadow and body appliqués to her hair colour. “When they say ‘ima star’ this is what they mean,” she captioned the post. We couldn’t agree more.
Gaga’s Mermaid Hair
We’ve seen Lady Gaga don everything from meat dresses to Kermit the Frog-studded coats and highlighter yellow hair, so this tonal blue look is somewhat subdued for the multi-hyphenate. The soft platinum blonde and seafoam-green colour job is credited to Gaga’s longtime stylist, Frederic Aspiras.

You may have heard Saweetie‘s viral hit ICY GIRL on your FYP page, but have you clocked this absolutely decadent money-green hair moment? Recently, the “That’s My Type” rapper has also been sporting an equally eye-catching scarlet pony.
Taraji P. Henson’s Fire Engine Red Braids
Is 2020 the year that red hair finally makes a major comeback? Survey says yes, as evidenced by Henson’s cherry-coloured look. The actress and author, who heads hair care line TPH By Taraji, showed off her striking ruby red cornrows on IG early last week.
Kim K’s Crimson Debut
Leave it to a Kardashian to set a forthcoming trend ablaze. The reality TV superstar flashed her fiery red colour on IG throughout the month of July, and in true Kim K fashion, she matched the new ‘do with her outfit the whole way through.
Barbie Ferreira’s Deep Green Shag
Okay, yes, this is a throwback photo, but did you really think we were going to showcase vibrant hair colours without mentioning Ferreira’s swampy mullet-esque look? We think not. The dye-job is the work of colourist Anthony Vincent Ronquillo and was created with none other than (you guessed it!) Manic Panic.
